Gettysburg and the Lincoln Caverns

I'm back! We took a little holiday and drove 4 hours to Gettysburg! The kids had a blast (and didn't want to leave)! It was absolutely amazing, beautiful, overwhelming. To actually see it in person to understand how HUGE the area is...wow! We took a ghost walking tour, drove the battlefields for three days, and marveled at the beautiful old homes.
On our way back home, we ran into this place called the Lincoln Caverns! We wanted to see what it was so we stopped and WOW! You take a one hour tour in two caves discovered in the 1930's. The inside of the caves were so awesome! After the cave tour, the kids got to sift through bags of dirt to find gemstones. For Tiarnan and Anna, that was a huge plus, as they're both avid stone collectors.

Next week's mini-vacation: To Hoboken, NJ...yes, NJ. Tiarnan and Anna both watch the Cake Boss and passed on a chance to see the Winchester Mystery House to see Carlo. HA! Crazy kids...

Hi Kay! I can't imagine it would have changed much! I'm originally from So. California and had never even stepped foot in PA until we moved here 10 months ago. Totally crazy!
